Piano Club seeks to push scholarship for pianists into endowed status!
Piano Club at MSU—currently at 35 members!—was started in January 2020 to supercharge all things piano at MSU. Our desperate and immediate need is a dedicated piano scholarship fund; our long-term ambition is for MSU to become an epicenter of piano studies. We believe that a $2000 scholarship per academic year will change minds to study piano at MSU over alternatives.
The Magic 88 Scholarship was started with the MSU Alumni Foundation in November 2019 to begin addressing this dire scholarship need. When at $25,000, Magic 88 will provide an endowed $1000+ in dedicated piano scholarships—a major step in ratcheting-up our available funds. The Magic 88 Scholarship provides scholarship funds for MSU pianists—music majors and non-majors alike.
