Diversity makes us stronger
As MSU’s largest hub of staff, faculty, and student leaders creating initiatives that encourage critical thinking about diversity and inclusion, we are thankful for those who support our work and build a brighter future for all Bobcats.
We are asking for your support to host graduation celebrations for underrepresented student groups (e.g. LGBTQ+, Black, Latinx and Hispanic, and Indigenous Students). Many of these students often experience a lack of belonging or acceptance at their institutions, so these important celebrations are the payoff for staying in school, and these smaller ceremonies feel both meaningful and personal.
Your gift will also help us offer professional development opportunities specialized for students who are often marginalized in their fields of study by attending empowering conferences hosted by organizations such as:
- oSTEM (Out in STEM)
- NESBE (National Society of Black Engineers)
- SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers)
- AISES (American Indian Science and Engineering Society)
Our office is dedicated to providing opportunity and meaning to students of underrepresented identities to make their MSU experience all the more better, and we appreciate your support wholeheartedly.
