Construction Estimating
ASC Region 6 & 7 Competition Video

The Civil Engineering Department is training and sending 32 students in five separate teams down to Reno, NV to compete against 53 other universities in a construction estimating competition.  This is an annual event  sponsored by Associated Schools of Construction.

Funds donated to this course will help cover travel expenses and other fees.

This learning opportunity prepares students to plan a construction project, and culminates in a student competition in Reno which simulates real world construction processes. The Civil Engineering department brings in construction experts to teach specialized topics and sponsor workshops. Students who participate gain qualities such as teamwork, leadership & organizational skills which lead to a professional skill set that industry seeks.  Students demonstrate this skill through their desire, drive and discipline to succeed in this class.
