Our Equine Horsemanship classes at Montana State University offer all students the opportunity to learn riding skills, perhaps for the first time in their life. This program, through the Department of Animal & Range Sciences, holds multiple classes at the Miller Pavilion each semester for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders. Students learn about horse behavior, horse handling, basic horse anatomy and safe horsemanship skills. Additionally, they learn about the equipment––halters, bridles, saddles, cinches and more––and the importance of maintaining all of it. But, these students don’t bring any equipment. It’s provided by MSU and tuition dollars don’t always cover these costs. Quality, reliable equipment is vital to the safety of our students. Your donation during MSU Giving Day will help us replace older equipment and purchase new gear to accommodate the growing number of students in our classes. We thank you! Our students thank you! And, most importantly, our horses thank you!
