Women+ in Physics (W+iP for short) is a group in the Montana State University's Department of Physics. Our members include graduate students, staff, and faculty members, and one of our long-term goals is to establish programs that will guide our undergraduate students through the beginning of their careers as scientists. With your gift, we will be able to develop workshops, application "boot camps", coffee+mentoring sessions, and more!
While our efforts benefit all students, they are specifically targeted towards women. Gender discrimination has discouraged women from practicing science for centuries, but W+iP members are ready to turn the tables. We believe that people identifying with all genders have the capability to study physics, and this is what inspires us to mentor the next generation of diverse scientists. By helping us reach our Giving Day goal, you take part in an endeavor to promote women in physics.
