About our 2023 Giving Day project
Your support of the MSU Leadership Institute allows us to bring leadership-oriented experiences to MSU students and community, including faculty, staff and Bozeman community members. Each donation ripples out and impacts thousands of MSU students. The MSU Leadership Institute creates programming to help students improve their leadership skills and learn directly from inspiring leaders from all over the world, acting as a catalyst to the awakening of students' natural leadership skills, communication abilities, and creativity. The Leadership Institute team empowers students to do more.
This year, we’re also offering the first ever Student Employee Leadership Scholarship, a $1000 scholarship offered to students working on campus who exemplify leadership skills in their lives and academics. Donations allow us to create programs like this to help recognize student leaders and develop the leaders of tomorrow.
Our goals
Our goal is to raise $23,000 in 2023! Last year we set our sights at $20,000 and our community went above and beyond in their generosity! Your support enables us to bring in speakers like Dr. Mae Jemison, the first woman of color in space, and Vasu Sojitra and Pete McAfee, who performed the first adaptive descent of Denali. In total, more than 1000 students and community members attended these events. We want to keep bringing influential leaders in contact with students, and to do so, we need to meet our financial goals. No matter the event, speaker, or training, creating meaningful programming requires a substantial level of resources.
This campaign has been generously supported with two $5,000 dollar-for-dollar matches. The first match runs from noon Wednesday until midnight. The second begins at midnight Thursday and runs until Giving Day closes at 5 PM.
About our organization
Founded in 1997 by the Associate Students of Montana State University, the MSU Leadership Institute offers answers, resources, and connections for the future leaders of business, government, education, and more! We are a student-led office on campus with a mission to inspire students to become leaders who serve as catalysts for positive change.
With the Leadership Institute, students have the opportunity to work with leaders of all types, many of whom serve as inspirations who help students on their personal leadership journeys. We’ve worked with students, professors, community members, and incredible world leaders. The MSU Leadership Institute has given student associates and MSU students incredible learning, professional development, and personal growth opportunities for the past 25 years.
Your gift will have an impact
100% of your donation will go to helping our office bring speakers and leadership development opportunities to MSU students and our surrounding community! All donations will be applied directly to our keynote speakers series, operating costs for trainings provided to student and community groups, scholarships, and other programming for student leadership development. These donations are also tax deductible.
